Introduction to American Government (POLS 1101)

This course provides students with a broad understanding of American government. Throughout the semester we will examine the origins, development and functions of the executive, judicial and legislative branches of government. We consider how these branches operate and interact with one another. The course will also address the role federalism, the media, public opinion, elections and voting in the American political system. Download Course Syllabus
